Mera Peak Climbing

Introduction

Mera Peak Climbing | Outdoor Himalayan Treks, Nepal

Mera Peak has three summits, with the central summit usually being climbed.  From the top of this tallest trekking peak of Nepal, an amazing view of Everest, Cho yu, Makalu, Lhotse and Kanchangunja, five of the worlds over 8000 meter tall peaks, can be enjoyed.  And just the physical fitness and an enthusiasm for adventure are essentials for Mera Peak climbing, meaning that you need not necessarily have prior experience and skill of mountaineering. Whatever skills are needed is taught by our guides at the base camp.  Comparatively it is an easy peak to conquer, as its categorization as one of the “trekking peaks of Nepal” indicates. With our years-long experience in peak climbing and trekking in Nepal, you can put aside your worries and prepare yourself for a rare taste of the Himalayas.

Mera Peak Climbing for hardy mountaineers is the task of a single day, but a high camp above 5700 meters is established to ease the strain.  As exciting as the experience of summitry is the trek leading to the base camp and backing up in the world famous Everest region. Mountaineers can choose from two to three ways of reaching the base camp and choose to head back using a different route. If you do not want to climb, only the trek to its base camp also fills you with unforgettable memories and lasting experiences with the scenes and lifestyle of the Himalayas of Nepal. We begin trekking from Lukla, but first, take a domestic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Our trail continues via Chuthanga, Chetarbu Kharka, Kothe, Thaknak (where we will spend a whole day for acclimatization) and Khahare to Mera La High Camp.
