Langtang Valley Exploration Trek

Introduction

Langtang Valley Exploration | Outdoor Himalayan Treks, Nepal

Langtang Valley Exploration Trek begins just outside of Kathmandu valley and later passes through Langtang National Park which is a vast stretch of forest with different rare species of animals, birds and flowers. Musk deer, pika, Danphe (the national bird of Nepal), monkeys, etc. are a few to name. Although Langtang valley and Langtang National Park are located near Kathmandu directly to its north, this area sees relatively few visitors in comparison to the Annapurna and Everest regions.

Langtang Valley Exploration Trek starts from Syabru Besi, the headquarters of Rasuwa district. After two days of walk from there, we reach Langtang village. We move on from the village to Kyangjin Gompa . From Kyanjin Gompa, trek for a day to reach Tesku Ri (4984m). Climb this famous trekking peak of Nepal and enjoy the celestial view of Langtang range and other Himalayan scenery of glaciers and peaks. Alternately, trek for about half a day from there to reach Yala, where you can visit the famous Yala Cheese Factory. Eastside of Kyangjin lies is a STOL airstrip at Chhaldang. In short, if you are looking for a memorable Nepal holiday experience, this Langtang trek is a very rewarding choice.
